Power puff - Manhattan Post.

Meet the puff father of all bags - Chanel's Coco Cocoon. In ultra-spongy nylon or smooth leather, it's the "it"bag of the season. And it definitely doesn't hurt the bag is like a winter coat. Celebrities can't appear to get too much of that puff. Claudia Schiffer totes her black lambskin model along to drop off her youngsters at college, Gwen Stefani's ultra-large nylon one doubles as a baby bag, and Cameron Diaz takes her luxe red leather one shopping. If you're not a celeb, the costs may appear a bit, um, inflated - the collection starts at $230 for a card holder and goes all the way up to $4,000 for an oversize leather tote. But since virtually all the bags are reversible, it's essentially like 2 for the cost of one. The twofer puffers go from horizontal covering on one side to the little, standard diamond covering on the other. Most reverse to red, because that's the way Coco liked it. Coco Chanel lined her first classic "2.55"bag in burgundy so it might be simpler to find things - and Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld kept that detail in this season's collection. The bags are sold out in Chanel's NY shops, but the company is ready to ship overstock from its Miami, L. A. and Vegas stores. Some well-placed spies let us know that even Gossip Girl Blake Vibrant was spotted hunting for one at the SoHo boutique last week but left empty-handed. Don't worry, Blake, we hear the Manhattan stores expect fresh cargos inside the following couple of weeks. In ultra-spongy nylon or smooth leather, it's the "it"bag of the season.
