Fans and celebrity buddies are recalling him tenderly today, mostly thru the Twitterverse. From Christina Applegate : My thoughts go out to Coreys relatives and buddies today.

I just saw him last week at a Lupus event.

And Ashton Kutcher called Haim his adolescence hero. But the most touching expression of grief at this hour has come from the other Corey -- Corey Feldman, who shot to super stardom with Haim in films like The Lost Boys. I was awakened at 8:30 this A. M. by my sister and brother knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my bro Corey Haim. My eyes werent even open all of the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I'm so sorry for Corey, his mummy Judy, his folks, my folks, all our fans, and naturally my boy who I must discover a way to elucidate this to when he gets home from college. This is a sad loss of an excellent, pretty, troubled soul, who will always be my bro, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a course in how we treat the people we share this world with while they're Celebrity Gossip still here to make a contribution. Please respect our families as we struggle and mourn thru this complicated time. I am hoping the art Corey has left in the dust will be recalled as the keenness of that for which he actually lived. Haim, 38, had wrestled with drugs through the majority of his life. Exact reason for death is still outstanding, though foul play isn't suspected.
