MySpace creators launch new celeb gossip web site

THE creators of social networking website MySpace have launched DailyFill - an internet locale dedicated to nuggets of celebrity gossip. DailyFill strap line stories on Tues. included 'Nicole Ritchie Pregnant Again : attempting to Catch Octuplet Mom', and 'Sorry I Strangled You, Here's An iPod' about singer Chris Brown making an attempt to win back a squeeze he purportedly battered. Stories are sometimes some paragraphs and offer online links to longer versions.

With the wild expansion of Twitter you can see folks are searching for quick hits of content,'' Digiaro asserted, referring to the hot micro-blogging service feted for succinct Haiku-style messages about people's daily activities.

We applied that idea to celebrity entertainment stories. You'll be able to find out everything that is going down in the celebrity world with literally a twenty to half a minute minute scan in our space.''. Case's resume includes being previous lead writer for bitingly humorous TV program Politically Celebrity Gossip Wrong with Bill Maher and being a writer and producer Celebrity Gossip for shows Spin Town and Crazy About You. Since a stealth launch in test mode 75 days back, DailyFill has gone from nil to 3.3 million visitors monthly, according to Berman. DailyFill is the first start-up launched by Slingshot Laboratories , a Stories Company venture that Berman and Digiaro were put responsible for after the Rupert Murdoch operation purchased MySpace in 2005. Slingshot was set up by MySpace Executive Chris DeWolfe and given $US15 million ( $A23.07 million ) to form firms to be owned by Stories Company , according to Berman and Digiaro. Our mission is to quickly identify trends and put companies out there at low cost,'' Berman recounted. Being serial entrepreneurs we got truly happy about launching this venture.''. Berman and Digiaro announced that well under'' $US500,000 ( $A769,112.44 ) was spent to get DailyFill running. Their goal is to yearly start from 3 to 5 corporations built to exploit internet trends. We look for markets that we do not feel are served the way they'll be served,'' Digiaro recounted. We are able to work within this great organisation, be quick, be nimble and not need to depend on entrepreneurs.''. DailyFill is ad-supported and uses content got from partners that include properties in the news Company empire.
