McCain attacks largest celebrity.

JOHN McCain invoked gossip-page regulars Britney Spears and Paris Hilton yesterday to portray Barack Obama as an empty celebrity, unfit to guide the US. Senator McCain's presidential campaign and the Republican Party rolled out an offensive to allege Senator Obama, fresh from an overseas tour, is more enthusiastic to soak up the acclamation of loving crowds than to supply solutions for US citizens.

A 30-second Television advert, which hit the airwaves yesterday, calls Senator Obama the largest celebrity worldwide, then asks : Is he prepared to lead? Senator McCain's method is to use the loving crowds and personality that have made such excitement around Senator Obama's campaign to raise issues about his depth. Framing Senator Obama in this fashion also permits the McCain campaign to highlight what some view as the Left winger's presumptuousness and incapacity to relate to standard folk. It's beyond dispute that he has become the largest celebrity on the planet, claimed Steve Schmidt, a senior confidant to Senator McCain, as he revealed the advert, called Celeb. The query we are posing to the Yankee folk is this - 'is he prepared to guide yet? '. The advert features photographs of pop diva Spears and the socialite Hilton - both known as little for their non-public escapades as for their pro activities - and 200000 folks listening to Senator Obama speak in Berlin last week. It juxtaposes those pictures with claims the Left winger's policies would raise taxes and increase imports of foreign oil. Senator Obama expounded : I do not concentrate on John McCain's advertisements, though I do notice he does not have anything really positive to claim about himself, does he? You must ask John McCain what he's for, not just what he's against.

The Republicans have been criticized for their fresh no-holds-barred campaign. The song, Politics as Common , boasts about an Obama regime being destiny. It uses an expletive to explain Senator Clinton, calls Mr Bush disadvantaged and claims Senator McCain does not belong in any chair unless he's paralysed. The lyrics don't spare the Rev Jesse Jackson either. If you announced next it you meant it, sings the rapper. Need to be immediately better off? Find the best Health Insurance online now.
