Thats a great thing for those among us who blanch at the appearance of the celebrity-news-and-paparazzi pack in hunting mode. It is nearly definitely not a great thing for Tiger Woods.

We do not know him, naturally, but now that weve jumped into the assumption we do, and we care about Tiger, its a bit nave to think we arent going to worry about this. So, yes, whatever is happening with Woods would be a personal matter for many of us.

But many of us havent courted the worlds attention for ten years and a half, so like it or not things are dissimilar for him. The earlier he recognizes and addresses that, the better off hell be. If I were advising Woods and as my bank balance attests, I actually am not I'd urge him to get on a plane, come out to Thousand Oaks and show up at the competition without fanfare on Wed. or Thu. . And to fail to address the situation is to permit rumors, rumination and disinformation go unbridled and unchallenged. And if indeed this all stems from a domestic issue, and he owns up to it, it might give him a compassionate way to retire and spend a little time out of the eye of the public. Thats a very bad idea for Tiger Woods the brand and much worse for Tiger Woods the person.
