Fashion flubs at the Academy Awards

Kilimanjaro to draw attention to the world clean water crisis. But Biel, a regular on the awards show circuit, showed up at last year's Oscars rite wearing a white Prada frock with a draped front that made her seem like she was wearing a bib. As a spectator of the TV broadcast, I'm really not humiliated to claim I was happy.

Not so glamorous For me, the Oscars, which are a week from tonight, are less about films and more on the stars and their garments. It's nice to see stars fulfill their dedication to beautiful glamour -- Anne Hathaway, for instance, is always great. And it's entertaining to see stars like Cher, who once wore a Mohawk-inspired headdress, select outfits so OTT that they are certain to create a good deal of attention and a long-lasting memory. But even for those among us who are not generally mean girls, it's seeing stars in what appear to be unintended misfires that's most savory of all. "Oscar night, we all turn into those small children in highschool and grade college. Not like me and you We may see footage of stars doing everyday things -- pushing a cart thru whole foods or walking down the road slurping a Starbucks.

But we all know they're not like the remainder of us. They're the fashion trendsetters and style makers. They use their beauty and star power to seduce us into seeing their films and purchasing the stuff they advocate. And due to that, they have access to the best designer robes, jewelry, hairstylists, makeup artists and stylists. [Page two of 2] So when Gwyneth Paltrow, who is just about always endlessly perfect, appears in a robe with a see-through top that makes her chest look droopy, we wonder, with a snarky snort, what the hey went wrong? We tell ourselves if we had all those advantages , we would not squander them. "I think it appeals on some level to us, on some basic level it can be reinforcing to ourselves and our own calls we make.". When others back up our viewpoints -- one or two fashion critics panned Biel's serviette dress -- it makes us feel much better. Maxx and not be so pretty, but we all know what looks excellent on Television , and in Hollywood, appearing good is potent. It's this week's birthday baby would like to see your baby here?
